Portland is home to renowned restaurants, shops, and service providers. So how do you know where to go and who to trust? Look no further than Willamette Week’s Best of Portland Annual Readers’ Poll! Each year, the publication gives Portlanders the chance to vote on the city’s best and brightest across seven categories.
This year, Michael and I were honored to be voted Portland’s Best Real Estate Agent! And we’re among great company with other beloved Portland favorites like ¿Por Qué No?, the Crystal Ballroom, Powell’s Books, and more. We’re incredibly grateful for our community’s continued trust and support.
Both Michael and I are born and raised Portlanders with a deep love and understanding for our city and a desire to give back to our community. As real estate agents, it’s our job to be tactful, diligent, and strategic, before, during, and after the home buying and selling process to generate long-term value to Portland residents. We find great joy in matching our clients with a home that not only fits their needs and lifestyle, but is also a sound monetary investment. We feel so fortunate to work with an amazing array of clients, each more unique than the last, from seasoned investors to first time home buyers.
With all of this excitement buzzing around our awesome city, we wanted to share with you all a couple of our favorite things about Portland!
There’s so much to love about our beautiful city! But first and foremost I absolutely love that we have two major rivers, the Columbia and Willamette. Whether I’m eating at a restaurant with a great river view, boating, paddle boarding, or swimming, the river adventures are endless.
Another favorite outdoor location of mine is Washington Park. The 410 acre park has something for everyone and is home to the Hoyt Arboretum, Portland Japanese Garden, World Forestry Center, Oregon Zoo, and the International Rose Test Garden. There’s also over 15 miles of walking trails, tennis courts, playgrounds, and an archery range.
In terms of good eats, Interurban on Portland’s beloved Mississippi Ave is one of my favorites! They offer an awesome vibe with their pre-prohibition cocktails and seasonal modern pub fare.
One of Michael’s favorite activities is biking, a perfect fit for Portland which is regarded as one of the most bike-friendly cities in the nation. For mountain biking, Michael heads to the fire lanes in Forest Park. For a casual road bike trip, Michael takes to the Springwater Corridor, starting downtown and heading out towards Gresham.
Michael also loves golfing and the Portland Metro area boasts dozens of great public courses to enjoy. A few of his favorites include Eastmoreland (overall beautiful), Heron Lakes (Great Blue for a challenge), and Rose City (for a fun round on a budget).
